Benitez cracks back on Allardyce in “mic drop” fashion


Sam Allardyce has a new book coming out, and the new Sunderland boss has been making plenty of his opinions football known through the book and otherwise.

Allardyce made waves Wednesday with his thoughts on “deluded” West Ham fans who hated his defense-first ambitions.

In his new book, “Big Sam”, Allardyce also takes a shot at Liverpool’s famous UEFA Champions League final win in Istanbul, in which the Reds came back from a 3-0 deficit to win Europe’s top honor.

According to Allardyce, manager Rafa Benitez doesn’t deserve to take credit for Liverpool winning (something about substitutions being lucky and some other incredibly-hypocritical anti-manager sentiment).

Fortunately, Benitez needed just one response to bury Allardyce.
