A thoroughly dominant display by Watford in their first Premier League home game since 2007, but their hard work and fluid football was cancelled out by a stout West Brom defense.  Vicarage Road witnessed a Watford side completely comfortable in their top-flight surroundings, and all of their new signings bolstered a relentless Hornets attack.  Today’s final score was the first 0-0 draw at Vicarage Road in almost 19 months.

If anything let Watford down today it was a quality ball in the final third of the pitch.  Chances were at a premium today and on another day Watford would have scored.  Notably, former West Brom man Matej Vydra didn’t get to play and he will have been disappointed not to be a part of a game that needed an extra bit of…
